- Open Notepad and type " del c:windowsprefetch tosboot-*.* /q " and save the file as "ntosboot.bat" in Drive C.
- Then select Start-->Run--> and type gpedit.msc
- A dialog box appears ,under Computer configuration double click Windows Settings and again double click Scripts(startup/shutdown) in the right pane ,then double click shutdown.
- In the new window, click add-->Browse, locate your "ntosboot.bat" file & click "Open".
- Click "OK", "Apply" & "OK" once again to exit.
- Now Start-->Run-->devmgmt.msc
- Double click on "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers".
- Right click on "Primary IDE Channel" and select "Properties".
- Select the "Advanced Settings" and select 'none' instead of 'autodetect' & click "OK".
- Come back, Right click on "Secondary IDE channel", select "Properties" and repeat the above process.
- Reboot your computer.
